Daena McRobbie, a student in the Medical Transcription program, has been named Coeur d’Alene Rotary Student of the Month for May.
McRobbie is a member of NIC’s Phi Theta Kappa, was a volunteer at the Idaho Regional Spelling Bee, is a peer tutor, participated in the college’s highway clean up project, and was recently elected to serve as the PTK secretary.
She has a 3.99 cumulative GPA and plans to graduate next spring. She hopes to get a medical transcriptions position at Kootenai Medical Center and work toward a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology.
“Daena is excited and always willing to offer her help and get involved in our community,” said Shelley Rushford, NIC’s PTK advisor.
