NIC's Outdoor Pursuits to offer sailing clinics

North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits will offer six separate clinics this summer to teach participants how to sail.

The clinics will be offered June 19-21, June 22-24, July 10-12, July 13-15, Aug. 3-5 and Aug. 14-16. Each clinic for adults will run in three sessions on the NIC beach. Times vary.

Each three-session clinic comprises nine hours of hands-on instruction, covering small boat sailing skills and equipment terminology. A fee of $125 covers the cost of instruction, boats and all related equipment.

No experience is necessary, but participants should be able to swim. Space is limited so sign up early to reserve a spot.

The American Sailing Association dinghy sailboat certification is also available for an additional fee. Further testing is required.
