Space is still available for basketball players to register for the Coeur d’Alene Shootout, a three-on-three basketball tournament Aug. 20 and 21 on North Idaho College’s main campus.
The Coeur d’Alene Shootout is a double-elimination tournament with standard half-court games played to 20 points or 25 minutes. Anyone aged 8 and older can participate in 10 different divisions, ranging from third-graders to adults.
The entry fee is $100 per team and includes a T-shirt. Entries must be received by Monday, Aug. 15.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and the number of teams will be limited. Registration forms are available at The Sports Cellar, located at 402 Sherman Ave., or online at www.nic.edu/athletics. Once determined, brackets and start times will be posted to the NIC athletics website as well.
The event is sponsored by Pepsi. Proceeds will benefit NIC athletics scholarships.
