Women in Science program inspires students

North Idaho College Biology Instructor Rhena Cooper looks on as four students participate in the “Women in Science” event held at the University of Idaho’s extension on NIC’s campus Oct. 18. About 150 students from area high schools attended the event, which is designed to inspire young women to pursue degrees in math and science. Pictured, from left to right, are Lake City High School sophomores Bethany Oswalt, Hannah Adams, and Ashley Booth. NIC nursing student Gayla Tweedy, on the far right, helped teach the class.
