Those interested in a new esthetician course offered through North Idaho College are invited to attend a free information session from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Workforce Training Center in Post Falls.
Estheticians primarily focus on care of the skin, encompassing nonsurgical procedures promoting the health and beauty of skin including facials, waxing and makeup. Graduates of the new course will be able to apply for the written and practical exams to obtain an Idaho state license.
The 15-week course consists of classroom instruction and practical experience through the student-operated clinic. Training includes facial and body treatments, temporary hair removal, professional makeup application, use of skin care equipment, skin analysis and retail skills.
The course begins Nov. 14.
