Students from the North Idaho College Resort/Recreation Management program have coordinated a long board race on North Idaho College’s main campus for students and community members.
The “Battle for the Booty” long board race will start at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in front of NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building. Check in will begin at 11 a.m. and participants are encouraged to wear costumes. (The race was originally scheduled for 1 p.m., but has moved to 4 p.m. due to conflicts with NIC hosting the regional volleyball championship Nov. 4-5.)
Winners will receive prizes donated by local sponsors. Cost is $2 and participants may register the day of the event.
This event was designed by a group of students in the NIC Resort/Recreation Management programming class, which requires students to coordinate a community event as part of its curriculum.
