NIC journalism students earn awards

The North Idaho College student newspaper the Sentinel recently earned its fourth consecutive Pacemaker Award, the top award at the 90th annual Associated College Press/College Media Advisers national college media in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 26-30.

The conference was attended by Devin Heilman, Michael Paquin and Jantzen Hunsaker of Coeur d’Alene; Gabriel Green of Vancouver, Wash.; and Jake Wright Martin of Genessee, Idaho.

In addition, the Sentinel also placed second for Best in Show in the two-year newspaper category for the Oct. 24 issue printed and designed in 3D.
