Representatives from various community agencies will celebrate the completion of the first phase of construction on the site of the Education Corridor with a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 on Hubbard Avenue, near the entrance to Academic Way and across from the City of Coeur d’Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The ceremony will include comments by Coeur d’Alene Mayor Sandi Bloem, North Idaho College President Priscilla Bell and Denny Davis with the Lake City Development Corporation. Community members are welcome.
Officials broke ground on the project in June, beginning construction on the roadways, roundabouts, sidewalks, curbs and a new signal at Hubbard and Northwest Boulevard. The ribbon cutting ceremony signifies the completion of the $3.6 million construction project laying the groundwork for the Education Corridor, the visionary higher education corridor that will provide academic opportunities and make a positive economic impact for residents of North Idaho.
