NIC basketball supports Special Olympics

The North Idaho College men’s and women’s basketball teams will grant admission to the doubleheader matchup against Columbia Basin College Monday, Jan. 2 with a donation to the Coeur d’Alene Eagles Special Olympics Team.

The women’s game begins at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game starts at 7:30 p.m. in NIC’s Christianson Gym.

The Coeur d’Alene Eagles Special Olympics Team will perform at halftime of the men’s game. Special Olympics Idaho is a nonprofit organization that provides training and athletic competition in Olympic-type sports year-round and free of charge to more than 1,800 children and adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.

Donations will be collected at the door.
