Art for NIC roundabouts narrowed down to four choices

The city of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission has narrowed the choices of new artwork to be erected on the three roundabouts on the property on the north side of North Idaho College's campus to four pieces, which are currently on display in the Molstead Library. Public input is being sought to determine which three pieces of artwork out of the four on display will be commissioned.

The commission pared down the four works from about 20 that were submitted. The models of the proposed pieces will be on display in the library through Friday, March 16. The city of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is expected to bring a recommendation to the City Council in April on which three works should be purchased. With the City Council’s approval, the commission plans to have the art in place before the beginning of the 2012 school year next fall.

Comment cards for public input are provided in the library.
