NIC to host several girls basketball camps

North Idaho College women’s basketball coaches and players invite all girls interested in improving their basketball game to join them at camp June 11-15.

A variety of camps will be offered ranging from general, fundamental coaching to specific, position-play instruction. Girl basketball players will be able to build their skills learning from National Junior College Athletic Association national championship coaches Chris and Carey Carlson.

The youth camp, for grades 4-7, is offered from 9 a.m. to noon June 11-15. This camp covers a wide range of basic, fundamental basketball principles. The cost is $110 per player.

Post camp, for grades 6-12, is from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 11-15. This camp is for all phases of post work. All levels will be emphasized. The cost is $90 per player.

Guard camp, for grades 7-12, is from 3 to 5 p.m. June 11-15. This camp will focus on players developing their guard game to its fullest potential. The cost is $90 per player.

Shooting camp, for grades 7-12, is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This camp will focus on extensive shooting instruction, basic fundamentals, advanced footwork and shooting mentality. The cost is $90 per player.
