An estimated crowd of 2,000 people braved the heat Wednesday night hoping to become winners in the NIC Foundation’s Really BIG Raffle drawing.
Cash and prizes totaling more than $290,000 were given away at the 19th annual event, including the $255,000 house built by students in NIC’s carpentry program.
Winners of the first, second, third and fourth place prizes may apply the cash value to the prize of their choice. Winners did not need to be present to win any of the prizes this year and none of the major prize winners were in the audience this year.
This year’s winners were:
Grand prize $255,000 house—Debbi Hahn of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with ticket #3848.
First place $20,000 car—Richard Hardy of Dalton Gardens, Idaho with ticket #0382.

Four bonus prizes were also given away. The last of the Really BIG Raffle’s 5,000 tickets was sold the evening of July 10, selling out for the 19th consecutive year.
“Another really BIG thank you is owed to all of the supporters of this event,” said NIC Foundation Executive Director Rayelle Anderson. “We are so grateful to the community for their continued support of this important fundraiser, which directly benefits students through scholarships, technology and program needs.”
This year’s raffle was supervised and audited by the public accounting firm of Moss Adams.
The NIC Foundation will receive approximately $220,000 from the Really BIG Raffle this year. Through the fundraiser the past 19 years, the NIC Foundation has generated net proceeds of $3.2 million. This revenue has enhanced the NIC Foundation’s ability to support important student needs, programs and technology and equipment at NIC.
