Police officers to issue citations around NIC campus

The Citizens on Patrol (COPS) police volunteers will be issuing parking citations around NIC’s campus. NIC students and employees should expect to see them in areas where no NIC permit parking is allowed: Rosenberry Drive, River Avenue, Hubbard Avenue, and the Fort Grounds neighborhood. The COPS volunteers will be driving marked patrol vehicles similar to Coeur d’Alene Police Department patrol vehicles.

In addition, Coeur d’Alene Police Department officers will be patrolling the campus more heavily the first few weeks of school to ensure that drivers are abiding speed limit postings and yielding to pedestrians in crosswalks.
