NIC Workforce Training Center adds courses to meet demands

North Idaho College has added several new programs this year that are still accepting applications. New courses that are still open include Nail Technician, Welding Fundamentals, Welding Certification, Basic Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing, and Basic Soldering.

“NIC’s Workforce Training Center serves the workforce needs of business and industry through short-term courses that teach skills for jobs available in the region now,” said Marie Price, NIC Workforce and Community Education director. “Course offerings are designed to help business find the skilled workforce they need while job seekers can find employment.”

The new programs start dates vary. The Welding Fundamentals course begins Sept. 24. The Nail Tech program begins Oct. 1. The Welding Certification Course begins Oct. 15. The Basic Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing begins Oct. 16.
