Blackboard has just gotten even more user-friendly! This week, NIC will launch the text notification system that will allow students and faculty the ability to receive text updates on 20 different online classroom activities. By checking various options on Blackboard, you can elect notifications for announcements, assignments and tests that are available, and even when items are due.
Having current contact information in your profile in MyNIC is all that you need; you will be automatically opted in. If you updated your information recently in the MyNIC portal for the launch of the Cardinal Contact emergency notification system, you don’t need to do anything else. You will receive a welcome message sometime this week notifying you that you have been opted in to the system. However, if you do not receive the welcome text message, please go to www.nic.edu/mynic and click on “User Account” then “Contact Information” to update your information.
