Auditions to be held for NIC's production of ‘The Robber Bridegroom'

The North Idaho College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for the bluegrass musical comedy “The Robber Bridegroom,” at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and Nov. 14 in NIC’s Edminster Student Union Building Lake Coeur d’Alene Room.

Those trying out should be prepared to sing 16 bars of music. An accompanist will be provided; bring sheet music to the audition. Do not bring pre-recorded music. Be prepared to do movement. There will be cold readings from the script.

Production dates are Feb. 14-16 and Feb. 21-23. Rehearsals will begin during the fall 2012 semester. Rehearsals are not planned for over Christmas break.

There are openings for five male roles (20s and 30s) and five women of varying ages. Community members are encouraged to attend. The director will be Trigger Weddle and the music director will be Max Mendez.
