NIC women's soccer to play for district championship
The North Idaho College women’s soccer team will be playing in the National Junior College Athletic Association District C Women's soccer playoffs at Laramie County Community College Nov. 2-3.
NIC is competing in the Region 9 tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face the No. 2 seed Laramie County Community College in the semi-final contest at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) Friday, Nov. 2 at the LCCC soccer field. Otero Community College will play Western Wyoming at noon 11 a.m. (Pacific Time), Nov. 2. The games will not be streamed online.
The winners of each game will play for the district championship at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific Time) Saturday, Nov. 3. The winner of the championship game will advance to the NJCAA national soccer tournament at Viera Regional Park, in Melbourne, Fla. Nov. 12-18. Unlike the men’s tournament, only one representative will advance from the District C playoffs and earn a berth in the national tournament.
NIC women’s soccer team is currently 9-3-2 and undefeated in its last nine games.For More Information
