The North Idaho College Adult Basic Education/GED program located in the NIC Silver Valley Center has expanded its hours and is now offering free ABE/GED preparation classes Monday through Thursday.
GED test takers should be aware that there will be a new version of the test beginning in December 2013; this means that if someone has only completed part of the GED tests previously (but not all), the portion they did take will no longer be valid and they will need to retake the entire test. ABE/GED classes are free; however, the test costs $20 and is offered once a month.
ABE/GED services are now available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The NIC Silver Valley Center is located at 323 Main Street in Kellogg. Learn more about the ABE/GED program by calling the NIC Silver Valley Center at (208) 783-1254 or visit www.nic.edu/silvervalley.
