NIC to host ‘The Facts about Artifacts' open forum

The community is invited to attend a one-hour educational forum dedicated to “The Facts about Artifacts” from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the Edminster Student Union Building Driftwood Bay Room.

Featuring Idaho State Archaeologist Ken Reid and Coeur d’Alene Tribe Cultural Resources Director Quanah Matheson, the forum is designed to facilitate understanding of the importance of local artifacts and their history. Participants will learn what actions should be taken when an artifact is found that could have historical significance.

The forum is free and open to the public.
