Seeding released for Region 18 Basketball Tournament at NIC

The seeding has been set for the NJCAA Region 18 basketball tournament Feb. 28 through March 2 hosted by North Idaho College.

Both NIC's men's and women's team received first round byes with a No. 2 seeding.

Come cheer on the Cardinal women as they face the winner of the Salt Lake Community College (3-seed) versus Colorado Northwestern (6-seed) game in the semifinal matchup at noon Friday, March 1 in Christianson Gym. The Cardinal men will follow as they take on the winner of the No. 3-seeded Snow College versus Colorado Northwestern (6 seed) game at 2 p.m. Friday, March 1 in Christianson Gym.

Region 18 tournament action will wrap up with the championship games on Saturday. The women's championship will be at 5 p.m. and will earn the winner a bid to the NJCAA tournament in Salina, Kansas. The men's championship will be at 7:30 p.m. in Christianson Gym Saturday, March 2.

Tournament passes are $15 for students (general admission) or $21 for adults (general admission). Tournament passes for reserved seats are $23. Individual sessions are $6 for students, $8 for adults, and $10 for reserved seats. NIC's men and women will play in Session C in the semifinals. Session E is the championship on Saturday. The tournament will be webcast as well, available online for $6 per session or $10 for a tournament pass. Visit the Region 18 tournament site for links to the webcast.

NIC Booster Club passes or other athletics passes will not be accepted during the tournament.
