Whether you want to put your toes in the sand or hang ten with your toes on the nose, Outdoor Pursuits has you covered with its spring surf trip to the Oregon coast. On Thursday, May 9, OP will make the drive to Cannon Beach to pick up boards and wetsuits. From there, you will head south to Nehalem Bay State Park to set up camp for the next three nights, enjoy a quick surf lesson, and warm up by the campfire.
Friday and Saturday: Surf’s up at Oswald West State Park! Not into a full day of surfing? No sweat. There are a couple great hikes that offer beautiful views of the coast line. Look out for the seals! If you’re interested, stop by the Outdoor Center in McLain Hall or call Ext. 7809 for more details. The $100 cost covers transportation and camping fees.
