Idaho Press Club awards NIC student newspaper first place


Staff members from North Idaho College’s The Sentinel newspaper continue to rake in awards, winning first place for General Excellence in a college newspaper from the Idaho Press Club Best of 2012 Annual Awards Student Division.

The University of Idaho’s newspaper The Argonaut won second place and Boise State University’s The Arbiter won third place.

Idaho Press Club awards received by staff members from NIC’s The Sentinel include:

Third – Devin Heilman, of Coeur d’Alene, for “NIC’s own weather Mann”

Second – Noura Alfadl-Andreasson, of Athol, for “Free from Facebook Folly”

First – Kaye Thornbrugh, of Hayden, for “Fit to Print”
