Auditions to be held for NIC's production of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank'

The North Idaho College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for the play “The Diary of Anne Frank,” at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 in the Schuler Performing Arts Center.

“The Diary of Anne Frank” is based on the writings of Frank, a Jewish girl who hid along with her family in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam for two years. The play was written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett.

Production dates are Oct. 24-26 and Oct. 31, Nov. 1-2. Rehearsals will be Monday-Thursday evenings. Auditions will involve cold readings. Scripts will be available in Boswell Hall Room 214.

Five actresses and five actors total are needed. Needed for the actresses are two teens to play age 13 – 19, one actress to play early 20s, and two actresses who can play age 35 to 45. Needed for the actors are one teen to play age 16 – 19, three actors to play age 35 – 50, and one actor who can play age 45 – 60.
