NIC's Outdoor Pursuits hosts Adopt a Crag at Q'emiln Park

North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits is hosting the Adopt a Crag climbing cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 7 at Q’emiln Park in Post Falls.

Projects for the day include trash removal, invasive weed control, trail maintenance, and general cleanup. Volunteers will receive free food and giveaways from local recreational outfitters.

This event is part of Adopt a Crag Day, a nationwide day of natural resource stewardship and volunteerism that is free and open to the public. Adopt a Crag is organized nationally by The Access Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving the climbing environment. This year, the Access Fund expects the Adopt a Crag program will conduct trail restoration projects and crag cleanups at over 150 climbing areas around the country.
