NIC course offers introductory education on drones

North Idaho College will offer a special interest course on “Introduction to Unmanned Aircraft (Drones)” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 7 and 8 at the NIC Workforce Training Center in Post Falls.

Retired U.S. Air Force pilot Bradley Ward will teach the four-hour course. He has nine years of experience in drone aircraft, served as the squadron commander of an unmanned reconnaissance squadron and helped craft unmanned policy at the Pentagon.

The course is designed to give a deeper understanding of the history, current events, and future applications of this emerging technology, including commercial operations and policy. The course fee is $39.
