NIC to hold info session for radiography technology program
North Idaho College will hold an information session guiding prospective students through the admissions process for the radiography technology program at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 in the Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 102 on NIC’s main campus.
Students will be applying for fall semester 2014. The program is a five-semester associate’s degree program that prepares students for careers as radiologic technologists in settings such as hospitals, clinics and imaging centers.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED® with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on required courses and must have completed course prerequisites as outlined with a minimum grade of C (2.0) or better.
The program has a selective admissions process and program applications will be accepted through March 7. NIC Health Professions and Nursing Division staff will walk students through the application process during the information session. Applications will be available Dec. 13.
The session is free and open to anyone interested.
Applications are available in the Health Professions Office in the Meyer Health and Sciences Building Room 257, in the NIC Admissions Office in Lee-Kildow Hall or by calling (208) 676-7132. An application can be downloaded at www.nic.edu by clicking on the “Instructional Programs” link and selecting “Radiography Technology” from the drop-down menu.
