Firefighter Academy to hold information session Dec. 11

For those considering a career as a firefighter, the North Idaho College Workforce Training Center and Coeur d’Alene Fire Department are hosting a free information session from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Hear from Firefighter Academy instructors about the qualifications, prerequisites, application process, physical demands, and equipment required for the Firefighter Academy. The Academy provides instruction for Fire Fighter 1 and Hazardous Materials certification in partnership with Coeur d'Alene Fire Department, Kootenai County Fire and Rescue, and Northern Lakes Fire District. Students interested in attending Fire Fighter I Academy offered in spring 2014 are strongly encouraged to attend.
