Former MLB baseball player to speak to NIC boosters

Former San Diego Padres pitcher and current Coeur d’Alene realtor Kevin Pickford will be the main speaker at the North Idaho College Booster Club’s luncheon at noon Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Pickford played professional baseball for 12 years, playing in the Major Leagues for the San Diego Padres in 2002. Originally from Fresno, Calif., Pickford was drafted in the second round out of high school in 1993 by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2005 with his wife and high school sweetheart. He has worked as a realtor at Keller Realty in Coeur d’Alene for the past seven years.

The NIC Booster Club meets on the second and last Tuesday of the month at noon, typically alternating between the Outback Steakhouse and the Coeur d’Alene Resort. Updates from NIC Coaches are always on the agenda, and the public is welcome to attend. The cost of lunch is not covered.
