NIC offers free assistance filling out financial aid application
North Idaho College will offer assistance on completing the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid on FAFSA Day, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 on the second floor of Molstead Library on NIC’s main campus, and at NIC at Sandpoint at 102 South Euclid.
Participants should bring their Social Security number, driver’s license, 2013 W2 forms, and 2013 federal tax return.
The FAFSA is the first step in the financial aid process. It is used to apply for federal student financial aid, such as Pell Grants, student loans and the Work-Study program. In addition, most colleges use FAFSA information to award their own institutional aid.
Assistance will be provided to all individuals regardless of what college or university they are planning to attend. The event will also include door prizes and snacks as well as detailed information on changes in federal financial aid being imposed for fall 2015.
Additional information is available at the FAFSA website at www.fafsa.ed.gov/ or at the NIC financial aid website at www.nic.edu/financialaid. For More Information
