NIC offers girls basketball camps June 9-12


North Idaho College women’s basketball coaches and players invite all girls interested in improving their basketball game to join them at camp June 9-12.

A variety of camps will be offered ranging from general, fundamental coaching to specific, position-play instruction. Girl basketball players will be able to build their skills learning from National Junior College Athletic Association national championship coaches Chris and Carey Carlson, Cal DeHaas, and several NIC basketball players.

Each camp costs $75 for one camp or $125 for two camps or two girls in the same family.

Comprehensive Fundamentals Camp, for grades 3-7, is offered from 10 a.m. to noon June 9 - 12. This camp covers a wide range of basic, fundamental basketball principles.

Guard-Post Play Camp, for grades 6-12, is from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. June 9-12. This camp will develop individual position skills.  

Shooting camp, for grades 6-12, is from 3 to 4:30 p.m. This camp will focus on extensive shooting instruction, basic fundamentals, advanced footwork and shooting mentality.
