Beta Sigma Phi donates to NIC scholarship program
Beta Sigma Phi’s recent donation to North Idaho College to
support student scholarships places its total contribution at more than $19,382.
The local chapter of the nonprofit presented the NIC
Foundation with a check for $425 recently. Beta Sigma Phi is a
nonprofit organization that was founded in 1931 to give women of all ages a
means of enriching their lives both socially and culturally while providing a
network of support, encouragement, motivation and friendship. The organization
has been giving to NIC for more than 20 years.
“Hearing that I
had received a scholarship was a wonderful surprise; finding out that it was a
Beta Sigma Phi Scholarship was even better,” said NIC student Mamie Mitchell.
“BSP has always been part of my life with the women of my family all being
involved in local Sandpoint groups.”
