Tenure & Evaluation Timeline: First and Second Year*

First-year candidate submits names of two Faculty Evaluation Team members to Tenure Committee. |

Fall Semester |
FET members observe classroom/lab and deliver written record of observation to candidate. Student evaluation surveys completed for candidate to be shared with FET members. |

Spring Semester |
FET members observe classroom/lab and deliver written record of observation to candidate. Student evaluation surveys completed for candidate to be shared with FET members. |

March 1 |
Candidate submits Annual Self-Report to Division Chair. |
|
March 15 |
Division chair forwards summative evaluation report to candidate. |
|
April 1 |
Candidate meets with Division Chair to discuss 1) student evaluations, 2) annual self-report, and 3) chair's teaching observation(s) & summative evaluation. Candidate and division chair sign and date written reports to acknowledge their review. |

April 15 |
Division chair submits evaluation report to Vice President of Instruction. If division chair and Vice President determine that a remediation plan is necessary, it will be developed in consultation with candidate. |
|
May 1 |
Candidate informs Tenure Committee in writing that FET evaluations have been completed. Division Chair submits recommendation for continued employment to Vice President and candidate. |
|
May 15 |
Student evaluations and summative evaluation reports placed in candidate’s personnel file. |
