North Idaho College has adopted a standardized syllabus templating system using Concourse for syllabus creation and archival. To create a syllabus, follow the steps below:

Important: Keeping an archive of a syllabus is critical. DO NOT merely change the term on an existing syllabus!


Effective May 2013, a change has been made to the Institutional Statement. You must start by cloning the Master Template for the course you are teaching. Confirm that your syllabus is based on the correct template; the last item of the Institutional Statement should look like this:

1:  Clone the appropriate syllabus template for your course

2:  Import syllabus items from a previously created syllabus

3: For Internet, Hybrid, and Web-Enhanced classes only.  Add the syllabus link to your Blackboard course site

Tips:

  • Use only your first and last name in the "Instructor" field; do not add middle initials or credentials.
  • Be certain to enter the correct term (Spring, Summer, or Fall)
  • Be certain to add yourself to the Instructor group, or you won't be able to edit the syllabus later.
