Steve Hildebrant, '59, passed away on January 26, 2015.
Judy L. Stewart-Willis, '74, passed away on January 18, 2015. She retired from the USDA Farm Home Administration.
Joseph Rohrenbach passed away on January 11, 2015.
Veronica Jean "Roni" Rutledge passed away on December 30, 2014. She was valedictorian at Kootenai High School in 2004 before attending NIC. She was an INBRE scholar at NIC and went onto University of Idaho to double major in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Paul Elliot Burke, '94, passed away on December 22, 2014. He graduated from NIC with a degree in criminology and then began a 19 year career in law enforcement.
Michael Nathanael Wyatt, '08, passed away on December 21, 2014. His love of cooking and food creation led him to complete the Culinary Arts Program at NIC. Michael was an honor roll student studying chemical engineering at the University of Wyoming.
Larry J. Barwick passed away on December 15, 2014.
Jeffrey Lawrence Hayenga, '71, passed away on December 13, 2014. Jeff continued his education at University of Idaho and spent 20 years working as a mechanical engineer on the Hanford Reservation.
Jeffrey "Sean" Barnhart, '99, passed away on December 12, 2014. Sean was a lifetime resident of North Idaho and started his own company, First Choice Framing, in 2006.
Randall "Randy" Bedwell passed away on December 10, 2014. At NIC, he studied to be an Electronic Technician, an occupation that took him to numerous countries during his 29 year employment with the FBI.
Marge Skites, '85, passed away on December 5, 2014. Marge attended the nursing program at NIC.
Kenneth J. Hodgson passed away on December 2, 2014. He graduated from St. Maries High School before attending North Idaho Junior College.
Trisha Ann Mayo passed away on November 29, 2014. She attended NIC after graduating from Lake City High School in 2005.
Bill Nixon passed away on November 27, 2014. Bill served on the NIC Foundation Board, as well as the Board of Trustees for North Idaho College (serving as chairman of the board).
Larry Laws, '85, passed away on November 23, 2014. He received his business degree from NIC during his retirement.
Billy Bush (Bill Taylor), '40, passed away on November 19, 2014. Billy was very interested in flying, taking Civilian Pilot Training courses before joining the US Navy in 1942.
Ivan William Crnkovich passed away on November 8, 2014. Ivan met his wife Barbara at North Idaho College in 1960.
Shirley Ann Young passed away on November 7, 2014. She attended NIC after graduating from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1967.
Alice Grannis, '72, passed away on November 7, 2014. Alice met her husband Mark at NIC, and dedicated her life to education.
Genevieve Sharver-Hibbard, '46, passed away in November 2014.
Patrick Jacobs, '05, passed away on October 26, 2014. Patrick was well known for his contributions to the Spokesman Review, Huckleberries Online, and his blog Get Out!North Idaho.
Donnie Paul Goecke passed away on October 20, 2014. He graduated from Post Falls High School and used his bachelor's degree in landscape architecture during his career at Landmark at Architects West.
Cristeena 'Cris' Lopez passed away on October 15, 2014. She was an LPN and worked at Sandpoint Manor and Bonner General Hospital.
Paul James Olscamp, former Interim Vice President of Instruction, passed away on October 14, 2014. Paul was a true champion of higher education.
Rhonda Lee Richardson, '02, passed away on October 8, 2014.
Peggy Lewis McCarty, passed away on October 7, 2014. She was a special education teacher and enjoyed tutoring and helping children.
Bryanna Lynn Sargent, '14, passed away on September 28, 2014. Bryanna was the 2014 Senior Class President at Selkirk High School and enjoyed sports, music, and community service activities.
Arvel H. Fairchild, '50, passed away on September 12, 2014.
Richard Hawkins passed away on September 10, 2014. He was a member of the undefeated 1982 CHS Viking Football state championship team and went on to play football at University of Montana Western in Dillon, MT.
Harold R. Fencl passed away on September 9, 2014.
Gregory Robert Erickson passed away on August 25, 2014. He studied Forestry at NIC and went on to spend most of his life working with the United States Forest Service.
Sandra Gene Duff passed away on August 18, 2014.
Betty Mae Long, '83, passed away on August 15, 2014. Betty graduated from NIC with an associates degree in Early Childhood Development, before going on to obtain her LPN Certificate.
Roy Rambo, '98, passed away on August 10, 2014.
Richard Earl 'Dick' Rainbolt, '73, passed away on August 8, 2014. Dick completed the Millwright program and then taught for two years at NIC before going on to work for the Coeur d'Alene School District.
Richard L. Hyneman passed away on August 7, 2014. Dick taught Speech and English at NIC for 20 years. He also led the debate team to numerous championships.
Shawna Maria Newman, '11, passed away on July 23, 2014.
Susan Marie Doughty, passed away on July 22, 2014.
Robert "Bob" Babbitt, '55, passed away on July 22, 2014. After serving in the Korean War, he attended North Idaho Junior College and transferred to Eastern Washington College of Education. He spent 31 years of his life as an elementary school principal in Ritzville, WA.
Brandon Wisdom, '94, passed away on July 17, 2014. He was one of the first graduates from NIC's welding program, and was an instructor at KTEC and NIC at the time of his death.
Robert J. 'Bob' Cleveland, '58, passed away on July 17, 2014.
Rick Robert Howard, '90, passed away on July 9, 2014. He grew up and graduated from Worley High School.
Matthew Jacobson passed away on June 25, 2014. Matt was a graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School in 1971, and NIC. Matt was in the Air Force and served our country for 14 years. He also worked for the Idaho Transportation Department as an Inspector for almost 20 years. His legacy includes the scenic Veterans Memorial Bridge overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene.
Sandra Louise Montee passed away June 20, 2014. Sandra graduated from Kootenai High School and NIC. She worked as a bookkeeper in the Silver Valley for most of her career. She lived in many places, but always considered Osburn, Idaho her home. Sandra had four children and seven grandchildren.
Sandra Morris passed away on June 12, 2014.
Alexander “Alex” James Robles passed away on June 7, 2014. Alex was attending NIC and was studying to become a Criminal Defense Attorney.
Donald A. Van Kleeck passed away on June 2, 2014. Don graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1944. Later in his life Don returned to Coeur d’Alene to pursue a higher education from NIC and the University of Idaho. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, and Applied Science, later accumulating an additional 240 post graduate credit hours in Education. Don taught engineering and drafting courses at NIC for 18 years.
Cathryn Lynn Mason passed away on May 16, 2014. She graduated from Post Falls High School in 2013, and recently finished her spring semester at North Idaho College, where she was pursuing a degree in Recreational Management. Cathryn was passionate about fitness and spending time outdoors.
Frank Darrell Rosco ’87, passed away on May 12, 2014. Frank did one tour of duty with the U.S. Navy and then spent an additional two years in the Reserves. He then joined the U.S. Air Force for 16 years. Frank completed multiple missions to Vietnam to photograph and record the war. Some of his reels and photos are displayed at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
Ginni Sue Walker Lenz passed away May 11, 2014. Ginni graduated from Coeur d’Alene High school in 1981. She worked at JUB Engineers, Inc. for over 30 years. Ginni loved helping student-athletes, and served as a board member on the NIC Athletics Booster Club as well as the CHS Vikings Booster Club.
Michael Ray Poorboy passed away on May 8, 2014. He graduated from Rio Mesa High School in 1977 and then attended NIC. In 1992 he opened his own business in Coeur d’Alene. Mike was an active member in the Spokane County Raceway and Drag Strip community.
Damon Randles passed away on April 20, 2014. He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the Dean's list, and received a scholarship for academic merit. He was attending the University of Idaho pursuing a degree in psychology.
Kaiti Brosh, '13, passed away on December 31, 2013. She was from Sandpoint.
