Paula CzirrPaula Czirr
Hello, I'm Paula Czirr, the Residence Life Manager. I'm originally from Superior, NE, but graduated from Peru State College, in Peru, NE. I've earned 21 years of experience in Residence Life. I really enjoy what Residence Life is all about. On the personal side, I really dig sports and competition of all types - especially football & softball. I cheer for the Huskers on Saturday and the Steelers on Sunday. I am a huge fan of the College World Series - both baseball & softball, and have been known to sit and watch curling. I am totally thrilled when I can spend uninterrupted time with my family – spouse Ty, our cat Sassy, and the dogs - Harrison, Larry & Jackson.

Resident Assistants

Tori Schuler - Senior Resident AssistantTori Schuler
Hey guys! My name is Victoria Schuler, you can call me Tori. I am from Post falls, Idaho. I am the oldest of four brothers. I have had one year of experience as a Resident Assistant. This is going to be my first year as the Senior Resident Assistant. I have lived in the dorms for three semesters. I have received my Associate’s Degree in general studies through North Idaho College. I played softball at NIC for the first two years of my college career. I am currently attending Lewis and Clark State College to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies. My dream career is to be a police officer in the Northern Idaho area. I love being outside and playing any types of sports. Other things I like to do for fun are; camping, reading, and listening to music, hanging out with friends and just relaxing. I can be quite the nerd sometimes, I really love math and am extremely random. I am pretty sarcastic, so don't take it the wrong way, it's all just messing around. I am very easy to get along with and am always smiling. If you ever need anything, you can count on me to be there and help you out! I am really excited to meet you all and have an awesome year!!

Becky HiattBecky Hiatt
Hi! My name is Becky Hiatt and this is my third year at NIC and second year as an RA! I am majoring in pre-nursing and plan on transferring to BSU next year to finish my degree. I'm originally from Boise, Idaho and I absolutely love the city! My first love in life was music and singing and I continue to love it to this day. I truly believe that music speaks when words cannot. I played the cello from 5th grade to 9th grade when I finally got enough courage to try out for the choir at my school. I was lucky enough to make it into the varsity choir my senior year at Capital High School which had been a dream of mine since I was a young child. My second love in life turned out to be soccer. I started playing in first grade and decided that I wanted to be a goalie. Being a goalie, I was trained to be a leader out on the field, have respect for my superiors, and I also found out that hard work really does pay off in the long run. I am so excited to be your RA and I have an open door policy, so come by to chat anytime!

Dan VanDerhoffDan VanDerhoff
Hi, I'm Dan VanDerhoff and I'll be your RA this year! I am a Business Administration major and this is my sophomore year at NIC. I am from Boise Idaho, graduated 2012 from Boise High. I enjoy spending time down at the beach, and hanging out with friends. I also enjoy playing video games and I absolutely love cars! My favorite cars are 1970 American muscle. My Dream car is a 1970 Mustang Boss 429. I can't wait to meet all of you. I'm looking forward to this next year.

Niko KolenkoNiko Kolenko
My name is Christopher Kolenko, but I go by Niko. I was born and raised in San Mateo, California, and when I graduated high school, I moved up to Coeur d'Alene to follow in my brother's footsteps and attend NIC. Playing cards, watching movies/TV shows, driving cars, and hanging out with friends are some of my favorite things to do. I love hearing where people come from and their own stories of how they got to NIC and where they want to go in the future. Personally, I want to go into Law Enforcement; however, both law and teaching also interest me. I plan on going to school until I get my Bachelor's Degree and eventually my Master's degree.
