TRIO student earns Master degree!
When I came to the TRIO program, I came with the compassion, empathy and a dream to be a social worker. The TRIO program provided the scholastic tools to reach my dream. The families I serve today are the direct result of the assistance I received from the TRIO program while at North Idaho College.
I graduated from North Idaho College in 2008 and continued onto Lewis-Clark State College where I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. While at Lewis-Clark State College I was also on the President’s List with a GPA in excess of 3.85 and I was also invited to be a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society.
In 2010, I was the Coeur d Alene campus President of the Phi Alpha Honor Society. After graduation from Lewis-Clark State College I applied for and was granted permission to participate in class at Graduate College of Boise State University. In May 2011, I graduated with a Master Degree in Social Work.
Today, I am employed by Hospice of North Idaho as a Social Worker assisting families with end of life care.
