Most people refer to them as the Foundation, but they are the Development Department. The Development Department encompasses three functions; North Idaho College Foundation, Grants Development and Alumni relations. Their
mission is to foster relationships with friends, donors, alumni, private foundations, corporations, and grant funding sources to secure additional support for North Idaho College.

Last fiscal year there were 567 donors, as well as 3,810 raffle ticket buyers. They were able to raise a total of $8.2 million dollars to support NIC students and programs. With the funds raised, $944,857 was awarded to 1,104 students for scholarships and nearly $500,000 was given to programs and campus services.

The Development Department goals for this fiscal are; Capital Campaign, scholarships for students, college-wide department and program needs, and any other college priorities that may arise.

We should always recognize the people that make sure we get a paycheck! This first payroll of the school year was pretty crazy. To make things even more hectic, let’s throw in a holiday that decreases the payroll processing time from 3 days to 2.This team powered through like the champs that they are and did so with a smile. Way to go team and thanks for helping me keep the lights on!

To: Dodi Rode and the SUB Crew From: Heather Erickson
