Biography
An Idaho native, Lisa attended Mountain Home High School and then University of Idaho where she spent a year in Quito, Ecuador while completing a study abroad program. Upon graduation, she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to pursue her graduate degree in Library and Information Sciences. Before coming to NIC, Lisa was the Outreach and Instruction Librarian for Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana.
Lisa loves teaching research and information skills, especially with non-traditional students. In 2020, she received NIC's Faculty Achievement Award for excellence in teaching. In addition to her faculty librarian role, Lisa has served the campus as a College Senator (2016-2020), Senate Chair (FY 2018), Faculty Assembly Vice Chair (FY 2022), and Faculty Assembly Secretary (FY 2023), as well as non-leadership roles on many committees.
