Biography

Born in upstate New York, raised rambling across the continental United States and Canada, Gail grew with a sense of wonder and awe for the cultural, architectural, and natural landscape. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Secondary Education, with a concentration in science and minors in Geography and Outdoor Education, Gail finally had a name for the core essence of her upbringing: experiential education! Since then, her path has led her to teach as a formal educator in grades 1-8, as well as an informal educator of all ages in the National and State Park Systems. She earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Idaho. Gail continues to follow her quest to inspire, foster and facilitate positive change for the people of Northern Idaho and beyond by providing experience and provoking reflection while working as Interim Dean of Instruction, Academic Support and Professor of Education (Teaching and Learning Center) for North Idaho College.
