NIC graduates to meet in SUB for the Commencement procession
Due to expected rain, graduates who are walking in the North Idaho College Commencement Ceremony Friday, May 17, should gather in the Edminster Student Union Building at 9:30 a.m. The SUB is next to Christianson Gym, where the ceremony will be held at 10 a.m.
The annual all-class graduate photo will not be taken outdoors behind the gym where it is typically taken. Instead, the photo will be taken inside the gym at during the ceremony. Graduates, friends and families are invited to a reception sponsored by the NIC Alumni Association honoring this year's graduates immediately following the Commencement Ceremony in the SUB.

This year's speaker will be Graydon Stanley, vice president for Student Services at NIC. His years of service in Idaho higher education has earned him recognition as an engaged and innovative partner with secondary education, local agencies, business, industry, the State Board of Education, and the Idaho Legislature. Stanley has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Idaho School Counselor's Association, The Business Partnership Award from the Idaho Association of Student Councils, and is an Honorary Member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges.
Guests are required to have a ticket for admission and are encouraged to arrive early for seating and parking. Campus streets will close down at 9:45 a.m. Parking permits will not be needed the day of commencement. Portions of College Drive from Garden Avenue south to McLain Hall will be closed for additional disabled parking. Those needing special accommodations should call NIC Disability Support Services at 769-5947.
