North Idaho College wrestling staff and athletes will host the NIC Tri-State Invitational Wrestling Tournament Dec. 16 and 17 on NIC’s main campus.
The tournament will be held in NIC’s Christianson Gymnasium and the Student Wellness and Recreation Center. Final matches are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17.
NIC has hosted the Tri-State Tournament, which is the largest high school wrestling tournament in the area, for 51 years.
Registration is now open for high school wrestlers, both boys and girls. Entry fees are $500 for full teams (15 wrestlers); $300 for partial teams (seven wrestlers or fewer). A $100 late fee will be assessed if fees are not paid by Friday, Dec. 9.
NIC is currently welcoming spectators to the tournament; however, the college will follow local and state COVID-19 guidelines, and the tournament is subject to change or cancellation, if necessary.
Tickets are available. Adult all-tournament passes are $20; day passes are $10; and finals-only tickets are $5. All-tournament passes for seniors and students are $10.
