Computer science is among the fastest growing fields worldwide. Innovators in computation drive advancements in all aspects of life from medicine to production, communication to finance. But here in Idaho, hundreds of computer science positions are going unfilled every year.
Together, North Idaho College and the University of Idaho are working to meet the needs of the region’s growing tech sector while preparing students for creative, fulfilling, high-paying careers. The average salary of those with a master’s in Computer Science is more than $100,000.
This unique curriculum was designed in collaboration with regional businesses to address industry demands in North Idaho. From start to finish, this program allows for a personalized experience to best prepare local students for a successful career in computation.
Degree Options in Coeur d’Alene
The partnership between NIC and U of I allows students to seamlessly complete the following Computer Science degrees without leaving Kootenai County:
• Associate’s
• Bachelor’s
• Master’s
• Doctorate
Lower division courses are delivered through NIC while upper division courses are offered through U of I faculty based in Coeur d’Alene. U of I Computer Science faculty and robotics laboratories are located in the downtown Coeur d’Alene Innovation Den.
