Biography:

Nikole King is a Missoula, Montana native with fond childhood memories of reading mystery novels curled up in a corner of her parents’ downtown bookstore. Nikole has a penchant for really long novels and endurance sports, hence the doctorate in Victorian literature from the University of California, Riverside in 2009.

Before pursuing a career in teaching, King received her BA in Psychology with a minor in English from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. She then received her MA in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where she learned the skills to plan the Northwest Undergraduate Conference in the Humanities, hosted annually at North Idaho College. Before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 2005, she worked as an event planner at the University of Oregon, Lewis and Clark College, and the University of Redlands. As much as King enjoys putting her organizational skills to the test, her true passion is teaching.

When King isn’t in the classroom, you can usually find her mountain biking or hiking on her favorite local trails with her husband and son and their very fluffy Labradoodle.
