Biography:

Davis Hill joined the North Idaho College faculty in January 2020 and is the only dedicated jazz instructor at NIC. He holds Masters and Bachelors degrees in music from Eastern Washington University and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano.

An active performer & composer, Hill can be seen performing around town with swing/torchlight bands Ren E and the Rhythm Section and Renei & Davis. As a composer, he focuses on experimental forms and genres, electro-acoustics, and microtonality.

In addition to his appointment at NIC, Hill maintains a thriving private piano lesson studio, Peak Piano Studios, with locations in Coeur d'Alene and Spokane. He presents regularly at area professional conferences and is an active volunteer/leader within Music Teachers National Association.
