Biography:


Kyle Serrott is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor of American Indian Studies and Program Coordinator of the American Indian Studies program at North Idaho College. Kyle holds a JD from Capital University and an LLM in Indigenous Peoples Law from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Additionally, Kyle has an MA in Political Science from Ohio University and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in American Studies and Culture at Washington State University. In addition to his duties at NIC, Kyle is an Adjunct Professor of Law and Gonzaga University School of Law, where he teaches courses in Federal Indian Law. Kyle is an interdisciplinary legal scholar and historian whose research sits at the intersections of Federal Indian law and Immigration and Naturalization law. Prior to joining academia, Kyle worked in public defense and social movement organizing/public interest law in Columbus, Ohio, his hometown.
