One of our goals as the Faculty Assemble Adjunct Committee is to create more recognition for our adjunct faculty staff. The Adjunct Spotlight is a space to celebrate hard-working adjuncts. October Spotlight: Cathy Matresse
Cathy was nominated for spotlight by her senior administrative assistant for her efforts in serving students and NIC. Cathy regularly attends division and department meetings, while always submitting grades and attendance on time. Cathy has taught at North Idaho College for over 20 years!
May Spotlight: Shawna Broeder
Shawna is an adjunct teaching in the Communication & Fine Arts department. She is the Adjunct Faculty Representative, leading the FAAC meetings each month. She also helps out with advising services.
March/ April Spotlight: James C. Devlin
James is a Sandpoint adjunct faculty and has been an active member of FAAC since its inception in September 2022. His biggest accomplishment has been completing his OER (Open Educational Resource) textbook and getting continued feedback from his students. Otherwise, he regularly attends his division meetings and Faculty Assembly meetings.
