The NIC Workforce Training Center Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is noncredit and prepares students for entry-level employment and eligibility to take the state-required skills and written examinations for placement on the Idaho Nurse Aide Registry. A prerequisite for admission into NIC’s practical nursing licensure program is that students must have a valid CNA certification.
The NIC CNA program is designed to meet Idaho’s educational requirements for nursing assistant certification. Requirements vary by state and may include additional testing, training, certification or registration requirements. Students planning to work outside Idaho should contact the appropriate state regulatory agency before enrolling to confirm requirements.
