Participants in a past NIC Special Needs Basketball Extravaganza enter the court. This year’s event will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and then 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5.
For the eighth year, North Idaho College will host a Special Needs Basketball Extravaganza Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Christianson Gym. The first game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. and the second game will tip off at 6:45 p.m.
The extravaganza is a chance for our special needs athletes to experience the bright lights and wild atmosphere of a bigtime college basketball game. Athletes are introduced on the court with smoke machines and laser lights while being announced on the loudspeaker. NIC basketball players and coaches also help make it a special night for all the players.
“We really hope the community comes out to honor our special needs athletes along with our NIC athletes,” said Corey Symons, NIC Head Basketball coach. “This event is always a ton of fun. Bring the whole family.”
