The North Idaho College 2021 Women of the Year Awards were announced Wednesday during the college’s annual Day of Dialogue.
The awards recognize and celebrate the contributions of four different women each year – a Community Member, an NIC Student, an NIC Alumna and an NIC Employee.
This year’s winners are:
Community Member – Jeanette Laster
NIC Alumna – Laura Tenneson
NIC Student – Marian Soderberg
NIC Employee – Dodi Stilkey
Connie Krupp, a life and health coach and owner of Wellness4Life, was the keynote speaker at this year’s Day of Dialogue, which was held virtually. The theme of the event was “Surviving to Thriving,” and Krupp led a discussion based on “The Book of Joy,” which features the Dalai Lama’s and Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s teachings on joy.
In its eighth year at NIC, the Day of Dialogue is a Women’s History Month event that encourages the study, observance and celebration of American women in history.
