More than 50 NIC student-athletes named to NJCAA All-Academic Teams

North Idaho College had 56 student-athletes recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association on its 2024–25 All-Academic Teams.

To qualify, student-athletes must have earned an overall GPA of 3.6 or higher for the academic year. Awards are divided into three categories: First Team for a 4.0 GPA, Second Team for GPAs between 3.8 and 3.99, and Third Team for GPAs between 3.6 and 3.79.

This year, more than 13,900 student-athletes nationwide earned All-Academic honors, with 3,944 on the First Team, 4,535 on the Second Team, and 5,436 on the Third Team.

 

Seven NIC athletes achieved a 4.0 GPA and earned First Team honors:

Men’s basketball: Tayshawn Colvin, Spokane Valley, Wash.

Women’s basketball: Molly Axell, Stockholm, Sweden

Men’s soccer: Zak Wenglikowski, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Women’s soccer: Adison Stoddard, Warren, Ore.

Softball: Hannah Brockman, Taylorsville, Utah

Volleyball: Hailey Hillman, Shelley, Idaho

Women’s golf: Kyra Cramer, Sandy, Utah

 

Twenty NIC athletes earned Second Team honors for maintaining GPAs between 3.8 and 3.99:

Men’s basketball: Khris Bombeck, Salt Lake City, Utah;

Women’s basketball: Iratxe Amorrortu, Saenz, Spain; Larkin Christiansen, Palmer, Alaska;

Men’s soccer: Francesco Di Turi, Bologna, Italy; Drew Hansen, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Indra Suarjana, Tahiti, French Polynesia

Women’s soccer: Cora Anderson, Riverton, Utah; Annie Barton, American Fork, Utah; Brynlee Myers, Shelley, Idaho; Katie Prengaman, Bellingham, Wash.; Addie Slaughter, Great Falls, Mont.

Softball: Corine Doran, Carson City, Nev.; Kristine Schmidt, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Men’s golf: Dyson Lish, Perry, Utah;

Women’s golf: Megan Quinton, Rexburg, Idaho; Ryann Walker, Black Eagle, Mont.

Volleyball: Madilyn Harper, Blackfoot, Idaho; Olivia Naccarato, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; Brecklan Weaver, Roosevelt, Utah

Wrestling: Noah Poe Hatten, Kalispell, Mont.
